If there's anyone here interested, 2839 had a second career from 1979-80 on the Southern Railway's steam excursion program. She even had a brief flirt with Hollywood in "Coal Miner's Daughter during that time as a substitute for 4501.

Oh, that's very interesting. I wasn't aware that any Royal Hudsons even still existed... most streamlined and semi-streamlined locomotives, save a few odd specimens, ended up scrapped.

I have an O-gauge Railking Royal Hudson in my collection and the resemblance is strong between this and that. I'll have to check the cab number on the model!
